Fishing Rod
Within the class of fishing there are two major subdivisions. The industrial profession and the individual’s sport dichotomize the event. Professional non sport fisherpersons will invest in massive fishing nets to capture whole schools of fish, but the individual angler will be unencumbered by this massive necessity and can enjoy smaller scale fishing on a sport level with instruments like the fishing rod.
The fishing rod is a broad category that could theoretically involve anything used in conjunction with a fishing line to catch a fish. Typically subcategories are broken down into several parts, but one main one is the type of material used in the manufacturing process that results in a finished product. In this way the rods are broken down into carbon fiber, fly, tenkara, bass, Im/Modulus, spin and bait casting, spinning, ultra-light, ice, sea, surf, trolling, and telescopic rods. Each of these rods has their own advantages and disadvantages and are judge in connection with the application and the conditions that they are being used it. For this reason it is important to talk about some of the other classifications.
The conditions that you will use your rod in are important, and will assist in laying out which rod is best for which occasion. When discussing rods it is important to understand the weight classification you will be dealing with as that underscores much of the investment process that applies to the category of fishing rod as well as an understanding of the speed of the rod, be it slow or fast as a necessary component.
